Economic reports coming out during the week are always a good way to determine if mortgage rates may rise or fall The two most notable reports this week are PPI and CPI. They both measure inflation, PPI at the manufacturer level and CPI where it hits home, your wallet.
Watch the numbers, if they are better or worse than expected mortgage rates typically will move. In this case if inflation is high rates will go up, low inflation will help lower mortgage rates.
